The Advisory Board is a group of parent volunteers who help crate, organize and implement school events and fundraising programs. The money raised from these programs helps pay for such things as special equipment, extracurricular activities, Teacher enrichment, and School building & grounds improvements.

As another way to share information on events and programs (in add ti on to the the flyers at School) we have created a Google Group to share regular communication. Please subscribe to the right.

For those of you that loose papers from your file or just like to keep up with everything about the school online, the Advisory Board (separate from Oak View's staff) has started a new Google Groups. This will allow us to share information about upcoming events and activities.

Note: It is the position of Oak View’s Director Olga and the Teachers that they do not use email. They want to be able to focus on our children during the day. However, if you have questions they always welcome a phone call or in-person conversation.

• If your child is sick, unable to participate in a normal routine, have a thick nasal discharge or fever please keep them home or we will send them home. To return, they need to be on medicine and/or fever free for at least 24 hours.
• Mark ALL clothing and belongings with your child's name.
• Safety Issues - please do not send your child in flip-flops, crocs, sketchers or air walks.
• Please leave "silly bands" and toys at home.
• Try to include foods that are easy for children to manage and clothes that are easy for them to remove themselves.
• Please call or write in the spiral notebook by the sign-in books if your child is going to be absent.

We reached our 2010-11 Goal and was able to get a new Play Loft for Teacher Nancy's room, thank you to everyone that helped!

Graduation and End of Year Picnic - June 9, 2011

Congrats grads! What a fun event watching all our little ones as they graduated from Oak View to move on to Kindergarten.

To all the families that participated in the Picnic, what a nice time sharing yummy food and memories.
