General Program Information

Pre-school is a special time of life......

and play is an integral part of it.  It is a child's way of learning about others and the world around them.  The curriculum invites their participation because it's for 3s and 4s and 5s.  We might fix up the room like a rain forest dangling with monkeys and snakes, or an undersea aquarium.  We show them sounds letters make and let them try them out on paper.  We write down their thoughts, read books, sing songs, and act them out.  We believe an imagination is a terrible thing to lose.

At Oak View we try to make the children comfortable with us and their environment.  The daily routine offers security and structure.  Children are free to explore various activities, such as playdough, puzzles, and other fun things we have set out for them.  Everyday there is also a planned event that could be an art experience, a cooking project, a scientific observation or musical instruments.

These early years are magic years that remain a part of us forever.  Teachers and parents who enjoy them with their children grow in wisdom and understanding.

A Typical Day for your child at Oak View will include lots of fun and learning through music, stories, art and free play. Below are some details you'll need to know before enrolling your child.

Extended Day Services

Oak View opens at 7:00am and closes at 6:00pm. We do offer extended day care on a yearly contracted rate or on an hourly basis.
